This steel building is 40′ wide by 80′ long for a combined storage space of 3,200 square feet. It’s fully braced and certified for winds of up to 140 mph and 35 psf of snow. The 40×80 metal carports can also be upgraded to 105 mph and 65 psf for those who live in areas with higher than average snowfall.
If you reside in Florida, select the 170 mph upgrade option during your order so your 40 x 80 carport or metal building is built to the state’s code.
We use either concrete or mobile home anchors and rebar to install your 40×80 metal building. In order to do so, its installation location needs to be within 3″ of level. We cannot install your metal building on uneven ground.
When installing a building of this size and weight, a telescopic forklift will be required on-site. It needs to be capable of lifting 6,000 pounds and raising 10′ higher than the legs of the building.
All of our 40×80 vertical-roof carports and metal buildings offer several customizable features so you can build exactly the storage space you need. If you need a full metal garage, you can choose to fully enclose the gables, sides, and ends. You can also increase your building’s height if needed. Each 40 x 80 metal building uses 8′ legs, but you can choose to have these increased 2′ at a time up to 20′.
We also offer 16 colors to choose from for the roof and trim. If you enclose the sides, you may also choose a color for those.

When you order your 40×80 metal carport, you will be emailed a copy of your order and a 16% deposit will be due. This can be paid with either a credit card or check. Upon scheduling your delivery, 50% of the remaining balance will be due. The remaining balance for your metal building order will be due once it has been delivered and installed.
If you need to obtain any building permits for your 40 x 80 carport or steel building, we do make blueprint drawings available via email upon request. The blueprints will take approximately 3-4 business days to be delivered.
